"I've never seen a personality text as good (as Schultz/Schultz), and the students love it. The fact that students actually read the book and report favorably on it is the number one reason I'd be reluctant to change even if I discovered a book I liked more, which hasn't happened yet."
About the Author
Duane P. Schultz is a former professor of psychology at the University of South Florida. He has also held faculty appointments at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia (now the University of Mary Washington), American University in Washington, D.C., and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Dr. Schultz and his wife, Sydney Ellen Schultz, are a well-regarded textbook author team.
Sydney Ellen Schultz is a writer, editor, and researcher who has developed print and digital publications and teaching materials for publishers, government agencies, schools, and professional associations. She and her husband, Duane Schultz, are well regarded as textbook authors.

Best personality textbook. Not perfect.

It's the best personality textbook I've read, and believe me, I've read a lot of them. So why didn't I give it five stars? The authors have removed a couple of useful chapters and shuffled the order of chapters around to justify continued publication without really updating much. The third edition from way back when is actually better than the current edition. Minor errors have lingered throughout all editions.

I would have to say that this textbook is very well written and is easy to follow. Schultzs made the book very interesting with great examples and photographs.

I really thought this book was helpful. I bought this book to complement another book I had trouble understanding. I finished this book in a couple of days in time to complete a research paper. You can't find many easy reading books like this one.
